you that I have already met up with for report cards, I would like to thank you
again for coming in and sharing all the wonderful progresses of your child. The
reports are all done and either in the mail or waiting at the front desk. I am
looking forward to meeting with the rest of you soon however, before the last
week of February! Please call to book your appointment if you have not already.
The Space Theme is ready for your kids to EXPLORE in 10-9-8…..do we have lift

Hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather. We can begin thinking of spring,
on that note, why not think of summer while we are at it!! We have some fun,
interesting summer camps coming up so check it out on the Phoenix Web site as
well and book sooner than later.
Just a little note for those of you that received the survey,
Another task is the completion of the Alberta Education Accountability Pillar
Survey. We know that some of you have filled these out in the past and we would
encourage all of you to do so. These surveys are being fielded throughout
January and February.
These
surveys are mailed from Alberta Education and returned directly to Alberta
Education.
In charter and private schools all teachers, students in grades 4 and above and
their parents are included in the survey.
For Phoenix Foundation, the parent is the teacher and it is home schooling that
is being ranked and evaluated. It is not the Phoenix facility or programs that
are being evaluated but the processes, content, and strategies that you are
delivering as a home schooling parent. When you are evaluating your child’s
education it is the program you are delivering, that is being evaluated. For
example, when asked to rate your involvement in your child’s education, you
would naturally respond “A Lot”. If you are happy to be home schooling your
child, then you would reply that you are “Very Satisfied” to be involved in the
decisions involving the education of that child. When asked about the quality
of education, you will rate how your program is progressing.
I hope this assists you in the completion of the survey. If you have any
questions or concerns, please forward them.
Thank you,
MJ Pellettier, B.Ed
